Taxonomic CommentsWindham and Al-Shehbaz (2007b) and FNA (2010, vol. 7) recognize Boechera gracilenta as distinct from B. perennans based on morphology, geographic distribution, environmental factors, and reproductive system/ploidy. They also find the type specimen of Arabis selbyi Rydberg similar enough to B. gracilenta to be treated as the same species, with Arabis gracilenta being the older name, thus naming it Boechera gracilenta. They identify other collections previously accepted as Arabis selbyi as Boechera pallidifolia or B. inyoensis. Kartesz (1994 and 1999) included Arabis gracilenta in A. perennans.
