Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994) treats infraspecific taxa within Galium trifidum at the subspecific level, but Scoggan (1978) treats them at the varietal level; they also have different concepts of taxa. Scoggan (1978) includes G. brevipes in G. trifidum var. trifidum, but Kartesz (1994) treats it as distinct.
