Taxonomic Comments
Elvin and Sanders (2003) describe Monardella viminea and M. stoneana as distinct from M. linoides (Kartesz 1994 and 1999 included M. viminea as a subspecies of M. linoides; M. stoneana had not yet been distinguished as a species but populations of it had been included as M. linoides ssp. viminea); Elvin and Sanders (2009) describe the subspecies which remain in M. linoides in this narrow sense.
