Taxonomic Comments
Fed.Reg. changed from 3C to 3B given the fact that some taxonomic sources (e.g. Jepson Manual) lumped this species together with C. virginensis. NVHP no longer tracks C. hoffmannii. If taxonomic debate were solved favoring the lumping, rank would go from G3 to G4G5 (Martinez, TNC-HO, 6/23/94).
