Rank Reasons
One occurrence in Everglades National Park, Florida. Also found in Panama, Mexico, possibly other parts of Central and South America and Africa. Occurs in the panamanian provinces of Bocas Del Toro, Canal Area, Coclé, Chiriquí and Darién.
Range Extent Comments
Florida, Mexico, Central America, West Indies, Panama to Dutch Guiana, E. and S. Brazil, Columbia, Equador, Bolivia & Peru. Distribution also includes Sri Lanka & tropical Africa.
Occurrences Comments
Florida Endangered Plant Advisory Council believed this species to be extirpated from the state, however one occurence was recently (2000) found in Everglades National Park, Florida.
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

Epiphyte on mangrove trees, hardwoods, especially button- woods, live oak, and cabbage palm; on cliffs in Cuba.
