Taxonomic Comments
This record represents the narrow treatment of Astragalus eremiticus, following FNA (2023, vol. 11), which includes two varieties (var. eremiticus and var. spencianus) and elevates A. eremiticus var. ampullarioides to the species-level. In contrast, Kartesz (1994, 1999) did not recognize varieties and includes A. ampullarioides (=A. eremiticus var. ampullarioides) as a synonym.
