Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 12, 2016) recognizes Ceanothus pauciflorus, including in it C. greggii, C. greggii var. franklinii, and C. vestitus. In contrast, Kartesz (1994) recognized C. greggii ssp. greggii and C. greggii ssp. vestitus, and Kartesz (1999) accepted C. greggii var. franklinii.
