Range Extent Comments
Restricted to the foothills of the Bridger and Wind River ranges in Fremont County. Disjunct from the main part of its range in central Colorado, SE Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico (Barneby 1989).
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

Clay soils in washes in salt desert shrub communities at 1450 to 1700 m in UT. Often in open, dry woods of pinyon and of ponderosa pine, 5000-7000 ft in AZ.
