Rank Reasons
Wide range in boreal forests worldwide. It seems rare in the Pacific Northwest, but occurs frequently from New England to the Appalachians. Occurs in Europe from Scandinavia to Italy. Also reported from Russia and expected to be in Japan and Alaska.
Range Extent Comments
Found in the coastal forest of WA, OR and CA. Only 5 records in the Pacific Northwest. It seems rare in the Pacific Northwest, but occurs frequently from New England to the Appalachians. In Europe from Scandinavia to Italy. There are reports of this species from Russia and it is expected to be in Japan and Alaska (Petersen 1975).
