This is a common species with a broad range worldwide. There are 13 out of 183 occurrences in protected sites. These protected sites are in the Pacific Northwest. We do not know the site conditions in the rest of its range.
Range Extent Comments
This species is wide spread in Asia, Europe and northern North America. Methven (1990) reports 148 collections from Canada: British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Ontario, Quebec, Yukon Territory; Japan: Tibet; Europe: Sweden; USA: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. OHIC shows 35 records in its data base for CA, OR and WA.
