Desert shrub, blackbrush, and juniper communities at 1280-1400 m.in UT (Welsh, 1987). Gravelly and stoney habitats, sandy silty gypsum soils, slopes, flats, washes, plains, pinyon-juniper, oak-pine communities. 4,200 8-200 ft. (Terrell, unpub.).
