Taxonomic Comments
Epithet spelled 'barbigeri' by Kartesz (checklist, 1994), but here corrected to 'barbiger'. See Flora of Utah, also Bailey, "How plants get their names" (glossary, p. 143), where 'barbigera' [as feminine] listed for "bearing barbs or beards". LEM 5Mar94; Utah HP (2/94) also keeps spelling to 'barbiger'.
