Taxonomic Comments
Previously described subspecies of Appalachioria separanda were not found to be conspecific and have been raised to full species status (Means et al. 2021). Based on molecular and morphological phylogenetics, the genus Brachoria was reevaluated and split into two, Appalachioria and Brachoria (Marek and Bond 2006).
