Taxonomic Comments
Murray (2015) concludes that type specimens for Eritrichium argenteum and E. elongatum represent a spectrum of variation of one highly variable species. At the rank of species, the correct name is E. argenteum (Murray 2015). In contrast, Kartesz (1994, 1999) recognized E. nanum var. argenteum and E. nanum var. elongatum as distinct.
