Taxonomic Comments
This record is for a narrow treatment of Solidago caesia, excluding Solidago caesia var. curtisii as a distinct species, as recognized in Kartesz (1999) and by Semple and Cook in FNA (2006, vol. 20). Kartesz (1994) recognizes it more broadly, including S. curtisii as a variety. The FNA treatment also recognizes S. caesia var. zedia (described by Cook and Semple (2004)) as part of S. caesia. Weakley et al. (2025) accept S. zedia (elevated by Semple & Beck (2021)) and therefore an even narrower treatment of S. caesia.
