Taxonomic Comments
The concepts of Erythranthe tilingii and Erythranthe caespitosa of Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2019) are different than the concepts of Mimulus tilingii var. tilingii and Mimulus tilingii var. caespitosus of Kartesz (1994, 1999). Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2019) includes "implexus" material in Erythranthe tilingii while Kartesz (1994, 1999) included "implexus" material in Mimulus tilingii var. caespitosus. Another difference is that Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2019) recognizes Erythranthe corallina and Erythranthe minor as distinct species, while Kartesz (1994, 1999) included Mimulus corallinus and Mimulus minor in Mimulus tilingii var. tilingii.
