Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994 and 1999) includes Bidens polylepis in B. aristosa. P. polylepis is treated as distinct from B. aristosa in Flora of North America (2006), Fisher (1988), and Flora of the Great Plains (1986). Also, Voss (1996) "tentatively" treats B. polylepis as distinct from B. aristosa in Michigan.
