Taxonomic Comments
Egger et al. (in FNA 2019, vol. 17) treat Castilleja martini as a species and exclude C. chromosa (with C. ewanii in synonymy), among other taxa previously considered synonymous, as distinct. Kartesz (1999) includes Castilleja chromosa and C. ewanii in the synonymy of C. applegatei ssp. martinii.
