Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the broad treatment of Eupatorium\Conoclinium coelestinum, including Conoclinium dichotomum, as recognized in Kartesz (1994, 1999) and FNA (2006, vol. 21); Kartesz did not list Conoclinium dichotomum as a synonym, however, it was also not recognized as a distinct species. Schilling et al. (2019) find that the results of phylogenetic analysis suggest that C. dichotomum be recognized as a distinct species; Weakley et al. (2023) follow this treatment.
