Rank Reasons
Dalea urceolata (which is comprised of three varieties) ranges from south-central Mexico to southwestern New Mexico and central Arizona, occurring in pine-forest to grassland, from about 1800-2500 meters. The two northern varieties are considered rare (Barneby 1977).
