Taxonomic Comments
Erigeron chrysopsidis, treated here in the broad sense, as recognized in FNA (2006, vol. 20), includes E. austiniae, treated as a variety of E. chrysopsidis. Hitchcock and Cronquist (1974) recognize E. chrysopsidis ssp. austiniae. Kartesz (1994 and 1999) treats E. austiniae and E. chrysopsidis as separate species.
