Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994) recognized Festuca idahoensis var. idahoensis and Festuca idahoensis var. roemeri within F. idahoensis. In 1999, Kartesz elevates these varieties to the full species, F. idahoensis and F. roemeri.

Ecology

Maret and Wilson (2005) found that burning significantly increased seedling establishment in Festuca roemeri.
