Guardiola platyphylla is in southern Arizona to southern Sonora and southwestern Chihuahua, Mexico, occurring from about 300-1200 meters in canyon bottoms to slopes and arroyo margins; it can be common (Martin et al. 1998).
Range Extent Comments
Arizona: Huachuca Mountains (Cochise County) to the Santa Catalina and Baboquivari mountains (Pima County), also Slate Creek (western Gila County), and northern Mexico (Sonora, Chihuahua).
