Taxonomic Comments
Leucauge argyrobapta is removed from synonymy with Leucauge venusta by Ballesteros et al. (2018) to denote the populations in Florida, Mexico and Brazil. L. venusta is restricted to denote the northern clade, and its known distribution restricted to the USA. More specimens from Central and South America are needed to properly test the cohesion of L. argyrobapta populations (Ballesteros et al. 2018).
