Taxonomic Comments
Sholars and Riggins' treatment in FNA (2023, vol. 11) includes Lupinus bingenensis in the synonymy of L. sulphureus var. bingenensis (with var. dubius, var. bingenensis, and var. subsaccatus) along with L. mollis. The species, with the three varieties, and L. mollis were recognized as distinct in Kartesz (1994, 1999).
