Taxonomic Comments
This record represents Mentha arvensis in the narrow sense, following Tucker and Naczi (2007), that is native to Europe and occurs as an exotic in North America. It includes M. gentilis. Kartesz (1994) also included M. gentilis in M. arvensis but differed in treating M. arvensis broadly with it having both native and exotic populations in North America.
