Myrica holdridgeana (or Morella holdridgeana) occurs locally in the Luquillo Mountains and Central Range in Puerto Rico (from 2500 feet upwards), in the colorado and dwarf forest zones. Presently 50-100 individuals are known, at six sites. It occurs in El Yunque National Forest, Black Bull State Forest, and Maricao State Forest.
Range Extent Comments
Morella holdridgeana is endemic to Puerto Rico and occurs in Sierra de Luquillo (El Yunque National Forest), Cordillera Central (Black Bull State Forest), Cordillera Occidental (Maricao State Forest) (Gann et al. 2018).

Six occurrences known as of 2000.

Potentially threatened by possible future expansion of electronic and communication sites and trail maintenance.
