Taxonomic Comments
See Egan for list of synonyms; see T. Ahti and O. Vitikainen, Notes on the lichens of Newfoundland. 5. Peltigeraceae, Ann. Bot. Fennici 14:89-94. 1977. May be a varient of P. aphthosa, but questionable. Hale also notes that specimens of P. aphthosa with dark veins may be indentified as P. leucophlebia.
