Taxonomic Comments
Esslinger and Egan (1995) and Esslinger (2014) lump Peltigera occidentalis material into Peltigera neopolydactyla, whereas Goward et al. (1994) recognize Peltigera neopolydactyla and Peltigera occidentalis as distinct species.
