Taxonomic Comments
Lumped by Kartesz (1999) into his Rumex salicifolius var. mexicanus. Flora of North America (2005) notes that "the names Rumex salicifolius and Rumex mexicanus (in the broad sense) were commonly applied to [Rumex triangulivalvis] by many North American and European authors", and that (according to FNA's view) "Rumex triangulivalvis is the most common and widespread species in the R. salicifolius group".
