Taxonomic Comments
This record represents the narrow concept of Stanleya pinnata not including S. bipinnata following FNA (vol. 7, 2010). FNA (vol. 7, 2010) raises S. pinnata var. bipinnata to full species level as S. bipinnata and separately recognizes S. pinnata as a distinct species with three varieties: var. integrifolia, var. pinnata, and var. texana. In contrast, Kartesz (1994) recognized four varieties in S. pinnata: var. bipinnata, var. integrifolia, var. inyoensis, and var. pinnata.
