Taxonomic Comments
Alexander et al. (2010) treat Thysanocarpus laciniatus in a narrow sense, excluding as separate species T. desertorum and T. rigidus. FNA (2010, vol. 7) included them as the varieties T. laciniatus var. hitchcockii and T. laciniatus var. rigidus, respectively. Kartesz (1994 and 1999) did not recognize them as distinct.
