Taxonomic Comments

In FNA (2003b), Tripterocalyx carneus var. wootonii is elevated to the rank of species. Therefore T. carneus (as carnea) as treated in Kartesz (1994 and 1999) is a broader concept of the taxon than in FNA (2003b).
