Taxonomic Comments
Based on morphological and molecular analyses, Caparros et al. (2016) recognize Ulota crispa, U. crispula, and U. intermedia as distinct species. Anderson et al. (1990) included U. crispula and U. intermedia in a broader U. crispa. Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2014) includes U. crispula in U. crispa and does not mention U. intermedia.
