Taxonomic Comments
This record follows the treatment of Youngia japonica by Kartesz (1994) which includes Youngia thunbergiana in synonymy (as does Kartesz (1999). Urbatsch et al. (2013) and Weakley et al. (2022) treat them as distinct. FNA (2006, vol. 19) only accepts Y. japonica and does not mention Y. thunbergiana. Native to southeastern Asia, now a pantropical weed (Wagner et al., 1990, Flora of Hawaii).
