Rank Reasons
Found in rocky canyons, open gravelly places, washes, dry banks, and chaparral in Baja California Norte, Mexico, from the northern Sierra Juarez to the southern part of the state in the Sierra San Borja. "Occasional" on dry slopes in foothills above 300 m in southeastern San Diego County, California (Beauchamp 1986). Ranges north to Los Angeles County, California.
