Rank Reasons
Collomia tracyi is endemic to California and is known from Del Norte, Humboldt, Lassen, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties. While C. tracyi is considered rare, it is found in sufficient numbers and is distributed widely enough that currently the potential for extinction is low for this species (CNPS 2001). C. tracyi occurs in lower montane coniferous forest (CNPS 2001), and specifically on rocky or gravelly soils at elevations between 300 to 2100 meters (Hickman 1993). Threats are unknown.
Range Extent Comments
Endemic to the Klamath Ranges and North Coast Ranges of California and known from Del Norte, Humboldt, Lassen, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties.
Occurrences Comments
There are 114 unprocessed sources in the CNDDB (2014), and 182 Consortium of California Herbaria records (2014).
