Taxonomic Comments

FNA (vol. 8, 2009) recognizes five varieties in Cotyledon orbiculata, where only Cotyledon orbiculata var. oblonga occurs in North America. Therefore Kartesz's (1994) narrow concept of C. orbiculata is equivalent to FNA's C. orbiculata var. oblonga. This record represents the broader full species record.
