Taxonomic Comments
Mertensia brachycalyx is not mentioned by Kartesz (1994, 1999). M. brachycalyx was included in M. paniculata var. borealis by Williams (1937). Mertensia brachycalyx is resurrected as a distinct species by Flora of the Pacific Northwest (Giblin et al. 2018).
