Taxonomic Comments

FNA (vol. 9, 2014) here expands the concept of Rubus bifrons to include R. linkianus and R. thyrsoides (= R. thyrsoideus), while Kartesz (1994, 1999) treats them as distinct. Weakley et al. (2023) also include R. linkianus as indistinct from R. bifrons.
