Taxonomic Comments
FNA (2014, vol. 9) uses the treatment of Potentilla bruceae as "redefined by B. Ertter and D. Mansfield (2007)" an interpretation that differs from "Ertter (1992), in which P. bruceae was interpreted as the catchall category for hybrids between P. breweri and P. drummondii." It is not clear how this circumscription differs from the treatment accepted as P. drummondii ssp. bruceae in Kartesz (1999), but it seems likely that it does differ.
