Rank Reasons
Triteleia lugens is endemic to California and known from Lake, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, Solano, and Sonoma counties (CNPS 2001). T. lugens is considered rare, but is distributed widely enough and occurs in sufficient numbers such that the potential for extinction is currently low (CNPS 2001). It is found in broad-leaved upland forest, chaparral, and lower montane coniferous forest between 100 and 1000 meters in elevation (CNPS 2001). Development might be a threat in some places.
