Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the treatment of Ceanothus jepsonii which includes plants (originally identified as C. jepsonii var. jepsonii) described by Parker (2014) as the distinct species Ceanothus decornutus. Kartesz (1999) and Hickman et al. (1993) accepted infraspecific taxa of C. jepsonii (ssp./var. albiflorus and ssp./var. jepsonii), but C. jepsonii var. albiflorus is treated in synonymy of the species by the 2nd edition of the Jepson Flora (Baldwin et al. 2012).
