Rank Reasons
Botrychium yaaxudakeit was originally known from approximately 7 locations along the southern coast of Alaska. Between 2005 and 2012 it has been found in three areas of British Columbia; Glacier National Park, Montana; Oregon; and Yosemite National Park, California. Locations are still widely separated, but more populations should be found with more searches for this species which has only recently been distinguished from B. lunaria.
Range Extent Comments
Known from southeast Alaska, southwestern Yukon, northwestern British Columbia, northwestern Montana, northeastern Oregon and east central California; likely to be found elsewhere in the western North American mountains (Farrar 2011).
Threat Impact Comments
Some occurrences remote and some in national parks and may be unthreatened.
