Taxonomic Comments
This record is for Artemisia ludoviciana in the broad sense that includes A. lindleyana. Shultz's treatments in the Jepson eFlora (Shultz 2012) and in FNA (2006, vol. 19) include A. lindleyana as indistinct from A. ludoviciana ssp. incompta. Hitchcock and Cronquist (2018) recognize it as a distinct subspecies of A. ludoviciana (i.e., A. ludoviciana ssp. lindleyana). Kartesz (1994, 1999) recognized A. lindleyana as a distinct species.
