Taxonomic Comments
Recognized as a distinct species by Gillis (1971) and by Kartesz (1980, 1994, 1999), but usually included in Rhus/Toxicodendron radicans in older floras. Toxicodendron rydbergii more closely resembles poison oak than poison ivy in its upright growth form and lack of aerial rootlets. Larry Morse, 15Nov99.
