Taxonomic Comments
Lammers (2007) here treats Campanula alaskana as distinct from C. rotundifolia sensu lato of Kartesz (1994). Shetler's (1982) detailed morphological and ecological analysis of the C. rotundifolia group in North America concluded that only a single species should be recognized, but he did recognize four "races" (without formal taxonomic rank or names) that align with the four native North American species recognized by Lammers (2007).
