Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 5, 2005) places material from Eriogonum flavum var. polyphyllum in both E. flavum var. flavum and E. flavum var. piperi, considering it an alpine phase encountered infrequently in scattered range in the high mountains of southwestern Montana and northwestern Wyoming.
